Here is a list of equipment used by B.A.P.S. We are always buying new equipment to make us better
-> 2-Way Radios for communication between investigators
-> Digital Cameras for taking pictures

-> Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Meters
We use 4 different types - ELF Meter, Ghost Meter, K-II Meter, and a EMF Detector with Digital Display
EMF Meters are used to detect high Electromagnetic Fields. A high spike of an EMF is said to be a possible sign of paranormal activity as the theory is a high EMF is a concentrated energy field that could be a spirit. Also we use to the EMF Meters to find high spikes in Electromagnetic Fields, because when constantly exposed to high EMF's there are many side effects such as: Nausea, the feeling of being watched, depression and many others. Click the link to read a short article on EMF's and effects they may play on humans.
-> A Non-Contact Thermometer is used to find temperature fluctuation. A "Cold Spot" is said to be a sign of a spirit. The theory is spirits are not cold but they need a lot of energy to manifest themselves. When they take in energy they take in heat around them making patches the are cold. Therefore creating what many call "Cold Spots". Also the Non-Contact Thermometer helps finds drafts and other reasons why temperatures may change to help and try and debunk a "Cold Spot" Feeling.
-> Our work consists of being in dark places in the middle of the night. Using flashlights helps us see what we are doing when it is dark out.
-> Video Cameras with Night Vision.
We use a Sony Handycam because is has built in "Night Shot" or IR Lights, also known as "Night Vision". We also attach a Sima Night Vision attachment onto our camcorder. Infrared (IR) light can not be seen by the human eye but is picked up by the camera allowing the camera to see in pitch black areas
-> We use both tape and digital tape recorders. We use these to record our EVPs. (See our EVP page!).
-> Just added has been the use of a Ghost Box or a Frank's
Box. To read more click here
-> For EVP analysis we use WavePad. WavePad allows us to listen to and if need be, clean up/amplify the EVP clips.
